A few times last week, I put Mariella to sleep in her crib.  I kept her on her snuggle nest, a baby sleeper with a slight incline and bolsters on either side so she stays put.   She did just fine but I missed her so much I kept bring her back in my room to put her in her cradle.  I kept thinking about her in her room all by herself, what if she needs me?  What if I don’t hear her cry out for help?  What if this? What if that?

enough of the what ifs!  I am driving myself crazy!  lol

So after she had a big girl moment and rolled over for the first time, I thought I should be a big girl too…  get over it Angel, your baby WILL grow up! So I put her in her crib.  Swaddled her with one arm out (she is getting ready to sleep with out being swaddled) kissed her on her forehead.

And she slept for hours…  I don’t think she missed the incline of the snuggle nest.  She did just fine!  I am so proud of her!  Sleeping so nicely in her bed!  She must have had a feeling of new found freedom or something.  She was working out her abs and pulling her leg up to the sky!  It was so funny.  Such a funny Wee Baby!

Mariella loves wearing this outfit that her Nanny got her!  It is soft, stylish, comfortable and oh so true!  It says “full of cuteness” and well, Wee Baby is totally full of cuteness!

Wee Baby is 3 months old today!  :-)  oh goodness…   babies are the ultimate clock.  They show you just how fast time ticks away.  Babies are a healthy reminder to enjoy life every day, because before you know it babies grow up and parents are left scratching their head like WTH? Where did the time go!

Dear Wee Baby,

Three months ago you decided you were ready to enter the world and finally meet your mom and dad.  You were conceived with love, carried 9 months with love and delivered by the grace of God on December 3rd with love.   The second I heard you cry hello, my heart grew twice as big.  It had to just to be able to hold all the love I felt for you at that moment.  I remember holding you right after delivery, I didn’t want to let you go…. the nurse actually told me to “let go of her” so she could take you to the “clean up” station. 
When they brought you back to me, I nursed you,  I sang to you the “wee baby” song, and I swear you looked up at me because you love and recognized that song! You are beautiful and perfect.  And I adore you.

Pat tries to lay WBG down for tummy time, but she thinks she is big enough to try to walk…  so funny!  She had such a fun day today.  Pardon her crazy mis matched ways, but you should know by now, that is just part of who she is!  LOL   In the video you can see her just play and what not too.

We all went for a ride to bring Uncle Gordon to the airport.  We had a nice trip out and Wee Baby and I were playing in the back seat.  She was totally cute like always!  There is a video clip at the bottom of this post of her sucking her fingers!   She was sleepy but happy.  I love the picture on the left of her blowing the spit bubbles!  It is so darn cute!  She is drooling like crazy now.

Slobber here slobber there every where slobber slobber!  :-)  Gotta love the slobber though!  Pat is like GOOD GAWD GIRL, where is all that drool coming from.  I tried to warn him that he has not seen nothing yet.  Wait till she starts teething!   LOL  he is going to freak out!

After the day out…  well ok, more like an hour.  hahhaaaa After the hour out and about, we got to our apartment and it was time to wind down.   Pat and Wee Baby often play on the laptop together, play PS3 or xbot, and of course watch the big screen.    I didn’t think I had to worry about Mariella getting hooked to the television……    but……      just look at her wanting to change the station!  LOL  Oh my goodness, they are already fighting for the remote!

7 minutes of her being her…  she was supposed to be going to sleep.  But she decided to stay awake and play.  She probably would have fallen asleep, but I couldn’t resist those squeaky squealy noises she was making.  It went on for several minutes before I started the video.  Then it just continued on.  I actually cut the video in half!  LOL  yeah, I love my baby and she is just so sweet all the damn time I just have to share!

and yes I know these movies files are huge!  no time to fix…  just enjoy! LOL

Pat and I took Wee Baby to the Children’s hospital today.  She needed an ultrasound to check out a few bumpies on her head.   They seem to be dermoid cysts and no cause for alarm, we will just keep an eye on them for size and if they ever start to bother wee baby.   We had to be at the hospital an hour before our appointment for paperwork.  We got there 30 minutes early, the paperwork took 5 minutes and the Doctor was an hour + late.   So we spent a few hours just waiting to get her ultrasound.

I was happy to get out of the hospital.  Wee Baby was the youngest one in the waiting area.  I kept looking around at the families…. wondering why they were there.  Wondering what struggles they were going through.  I said a prayer for all the children and their families.

Wee Baby did fine on her ultrasound… she cried…  mostly because she waited 3 hours to see the dr and by this time she was Miss Fussy Pants!

Finally on our way home.  Mariella started to fall asleep which she needed to.. she was exhausted.   She was so relaxed, notice in the pictures below how long her face is… she was so floppy from exhaustion.

She woke up about 10 minutes later.   I was talking to her …  telling her to go back to sleep because “We will have none of that crying“  when we get home.   And she started to chuckle…  a couple seconds later a full blown giggle!  :-)  Pat and I was laughing too it was so adorable!  I grabbed my camera and started to record.  I got the later end of it, but you can totally tell she had the giggle thing going on!  It was the sweetest thing..

She Loves You This Much!

Just a glimpse of what I get to see several times a day.   We have Good Mornings throughout the day everyday! I secretly cant wait till she is older so we can enjoy coffee, tea or  cocoa!  Although I am already crying about how fast she is growing…

Today Pat and I took Mariella to her 2 month check up.  Even though she is nearly 10 weeks old!  We had some car malfunctions and some scheduling conflicts and finally we got her in today to see the doctor.  She weighs 11 pounds and 5 ounces, she is 22.5 inches long.  So she is doing fine gaining weight and growing.  She checked out fine and dandy.  I am worried about her poo, she seems to go several days between poops and it freaks me out.  The Dr says not to worry.  So I will try not too.

She had several shots today… poor Wee Baby.  It was so traumatic for her and for Pat and I.  I held one hand and Pat held the other.  She screamed and cried for a few minutes but I was able to calm her pretty quickly.  She fell asleep in the car seat when we left the office.   The Doctor told us she would sleep a lot so we decided to go to Target to get some groceries and household items.  We were there 5 minutes and Mariella woke up.  She did so well though, she didn’t make a peep and just looked around as we went up and down the isles. You could tell she was feeling crappy from the shots…

such a good Wee Baby.

She had a few reactions from the shots, she had a little fever for the night, she vomited after her dinner, and she was crancky before bedtime.   All in all she was such a trooper and I am so proud of her!

Mariella is such a good baby!  She typically takes a nap in her swing in the mid morning.  She wakes up in such a good mood (most of the time) and she starts cooing and ahhing.  She is totally adorable.  I love her so much and I almost wish I would have started having kids 10 years ago and had one each year!  : -)  I love this baby so much!

shhhh Wee Baby is sleeping!  She must have some gas or a tummy ache.  She didn’t want to lay on her back, so I curled her in a ball and placed her inside this boppy pillow thing.  She rarely takes a pacifier, but she took one for this nap.  Sweet sweet Mariella….  enjoy your nap my little Angel.  She did wind up feeling better later that evening…  when daddy got home, she decided it was time to have a “rocket poo”  kind of poop.  :-)  I took a video of it below…

Later in the evening she felt much better!  Good enough for some tummy time on Daddy!  :-)  Look how long she is getting!  My little big Wee Baby!

Wee Baby brought the Saints luck their entire season.  Then she helped them win the Superbowl!  I told Pat if he wants the Saints to win again next year, we better get cracking on another Wee Baby! Maybe a Wee Baby Boy!  :-)  Oh lawd..  Pat is freaking out already!  hahahahaaa.   Here is my little family for the first Saints playoff game of the season.
