Happy 4th of July!

Wee Baby Celebrates her first forth of July! We spent it in North Carolina with her Nanny and Parran. The pictures below were actually taken right after the 4th…. BUT at least I took them with in weeks time! lol …. what? I am a busy mom! hahaaaa Wee Baby will surly forgive me. I’ll be on top of things for the next holiday… what is it anyway?

Mariella turned 4 months yesterday and she was such a big girl this morning for Easter! Last night I got her basket ready and put lots of cute goodies in it! Easter morning began at 8 am. I went into the kitchen to make a bottle ( wasn’t even thinking about Easter) and Pat went to change her diaper and get her ready for the day. I am in the kitchen… zoning out.. and Pat comes in holding Mariella and brought her straight to her Easter basket! “Look what the Easter Bunny brought you Wee Baby! Mommy worked so hard on your pretty basket!” My eyes just filled up with tears… my beautiful daughter… her first Easter… and her loving Daddy making sure she saw her Basket first thing… ~ so happy!

We gave her a bath and we all went to Target. Well Target was closed, so we walked up and down the shopping center for a good couple of hours. We went into Old Navy and I purchased Wee Baby her first pair of jeans. We went to Safeway grocery store and sat down and enjoyed a cup of Starbucks coffee. The sun was bright and it was so beautiful outside!

We found a pretty silk Easter dress for Wee Baby at Macy’s last week. She is so cute wearing this dress! We all went outside by the river and set up the tripod to try and take a family photo. We didn’t do so bad and I actually love the pictures we got!

Today has been so amazing!  Last night Mariella went to bed at 10 pm and slept till 6 am.  She got up, had a bottle and played in her crib for a bit and fell asleep again from 7 till 9.   I got up, put on my workout pants, grabbed a bottle, picked up Wee Baby and we went to the resident lounge and I enjoyed a cup of decaf and Mariella enjoyed her bottle. It was about 10 am and we started our walk outside.  It is a spectacular Spring day today and the weather is warm and it was beautiful and brezzy.  :-)  We went in a new direction up a hill….  and ended up talking to a nice neighbor who was working in his garden.  We continued up the river, around the bin and went to the wishing well.  I made a wish and we headed back home.  It was nearly a hour before we got back, she was getting sleepy so I walked up and down the hallway close to home incase she decided she wanted to get out of the stroller and sleep in her bed.

She fell asleep in the stroller about 11 am and  I rolled her into the yoga studio.  Where she slept as I did some yoga.  ahhhhhhhhhh boy did it ever feel good to stretch and bend and work hard to get into and hold my poses.   30 minutes go by and We head back to the apartment…  Now.. do I dare try and shower while she is still cozy?  I decided to go for it, I rolled her into the bathroom and I took a shower!  She woke up and played with her rattle as I sang and talked to her from the shower.  She didn’t make a peep.  I even was able to blow dry my hair and put on some lip gloss!  lol  and I went all out and put on a shirt with no stains!  lol

Then for the icing on the cake, we were both in blue and I decided to put us in the bunny ears her Daddy got her. 

I hope to do the exact thing tomorrow morning..  in fact every morning would be so great!

So I walked, did yoga, took a shower, put on clean clothes and some lip gloss all before noon!  Heck yeah this is a perfect day!!

Uncle Mike and Aunt Denise sent Wee baby some precious Easter presents!  It was so sweet and everything in the Easter box was so much fun!  I was looking for some sweet spring dresses, but didn’t find any that I loved, until I opened this box!  :-)  Thanks so much y’all!  Wee Baby loves everything!

We walked up to the front desk in the lobby to get her package and we opened it right there in front of everyone.  We saw the chicken and I pressed the little wing and it started going off!  lol  It was so crazy and loud and everyone started laughing.  It is so cute the way it jumps around!  I’ll get a video of Mariella playing with it this week and post it..   so much fun!

Yesterday I realized…..  I need to get out this apartment before I go c r a z y!  lol  Last night Wee Baby slept so great!  From 8:30 pm till 1:30 am, then 2:00 am till 6 am, then 6:30 am till 9:00 am.   For me that was a tad over 9 hours combined sleep!  See the chart on the right if you don’t believe me!  I actually feel pretty darn rested this morning!

I put my tennis shoes , grabbed a bottle and and we headed to get some coffee in the resident lounge.   We sat inside for a bit while I drank some of my coffee.  It was a lovely time.  We sat together and drank our morning beverages.  :-)  She had an amazing burp that echoed throughout the room!  hahahaaa that is my girl!

Wee Baby’s daddy gave her some adorable bunny ears the other day!  She wore them today and of course received ohhhs and ahhhh from everyone that saw her.    Note to self:  wear bunny ears too!  She was being so sweet, like always, so I decided to snap a few pictures of her in her adorable bunny ears!  Oh my goodness this is one cute baby!

The walk was really wonderful.  We spent over an hour outside walking around.  Thank goodness I have a durable outdoor stroller, I can’t imagine getting around this place without one.  Thanks Peter!  :-)  We saw some ducks in the river.   That is about it.  The rest is so brown….  brown from the Winter.  I love the cold and enjoy the snow…  but I can’t wait for things to be green again!

Wee Baby is old enough now that I feel comfortable taking her out in the stroller.  She is strong, and can take the bouncing around.   We had such a great time and I look forward to doing it again tomorrow morning!

Wee Baby celebrates her first St Patrick’s day!  She enjoyed some green milk…  a couple few too many!  lol aww sha, she is such an adorable wee leprechaun!

She took a some cute pictures despite the fact she felt a little cranky…  she needs to poop again!  :

Pat and I spent the evening watching It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.  We didn’t drink any Guinness, Green Beer, or any type of alcohol.  We just snuggled up on the couch with Wee Baby.  She didn’t stay up late though… all that green milk wore her out and she was in bed by 8.  heheeee

Wee Baby’s First Valentine’s Day!  For Valentine’s Day, Pat bought me a Snickers bar (king size of course) and I bought him nothing.  We didn’t need any presents with this enormous bundle of joy named Mariella!

We don’t want candy, because Wee Baby is all the sweetness we need.
We don’t want  roses, because Wee Baby smells better than roses!
We don’t want presents, because the money we have we spend on Wee Baby.

Pat and I watched the Olympics, I had hot chocolate instead of Guinness, and we just spent time together as a family.  A perfect way to show our love for each other.
