We were excited to be able to listen to the heart beat!  It was the first time we heard the heart beat, and it was the best sounding heart beat I ever heard!

I added a few pictures of WBG to the audio clip of her heart beat…   take a listen! It is so sweet ~

Wee Baby Girl was pretty active during the photos, it took over an hour for the technician to grab the 4 pictures she needed for the radiologist! Everything looks fine, they found her ankles and got the picture of the heart valve they were looking for on the previous ultrasound! I really wanted to take a video clip, but I was not allowed… bummer.. I wanted to show everyone how she was playing in there!

I haven’t heard the heart beat yet, so I was excited to see the Dr, pull out the gadget for us to hear the baby’s heart beat.  Apparently, once they hear the heart beat, my check ups don’t include a sonogram..  boo.   I think I’ll beg to have them show me the baby anyway! lol   The Dr had the fancy gadget and was moving it around on my belly and couldn’t find the heart beat.   No one said anything, we all were just quiet for about 45 seconds until the ultrasound machine was rolled into the room.

The Dr.  hooked up the ultrasound and <strong>ta-daaaa there was our wee baby!</strong> Chilling out in my womb, taking in the scenery..  and the heart was beating perfectly!  Phew!  I was really freaked for a minute, the Dr. said it was just the angle the baby was at.   Good enough to give us all a heart attack!  Wee baby, don’t do that to mommy and daddy again, ok?  Just turn around so we can hear your heart beat!

Here is a video clip of the sonogram if you are interested.  We get to see the baby’s legs, spine, ribs, heart beating, and more.  So far so great as far as me and wee baby goes.  We go to a different facility on the 27th to get a formal ultra sound done.   I can’t wait!

In the first picture you can see the baby just hanging out, snoring. But once the baby knew we stopped by to visit, he raised his arm up to wave at us! You can see him waving in the second picture. How cute is that?

Pregnant Lady Thoughts

I am feeling pretty good! I gained 3 pounds 3 ounces so far…. I can split that up in three areas. 1 lb 1 oz in my right boob. 1 lb 1 oz in my left boob. and 1 lb 1 oz in my tummy. I am still eating well, but slacking on my workouts a bit. I am not sure what I should be doing really…. I need to research that I suppose. No weird cravings. No unexpected emotional outburst. Just me and Pat’s healthy wee baby growing in my belly!

I am happy Pat and Faith got to see the baby. It makes it feel “real” in a different kind of way. My next appointment is July 1st. I think Darlene is coming up to visit for that one… right Darlene? Are you coming up to visit? Darlene? Someone better be here! lol Let me know sis!

As of yesterday, I been feeling less tired! I been getting out walking everyday and that is helping me cope with the fatigue and the feelings of loneliness. I have been so lonely! Pat comes home and I practically pounce on him, “how was your day? You want a snack? Wanna go for a walk? Lets go buy a watermelon! Lets check the mail together! Wanna help me cook dinner? Lets clean the closet!” and it goes on and on ~ poor guy, he works so hard and here I am being barefoot and pregnant… I wish I had the cash for my next computer class, but I think I should hold off and save for the little Walnut!

Since living in Maryland, I do not recall buying cookie dough. But the other day, Passing through the refrigerated section, I was drawn to the ultimate chocolate nestle toll house cookie dough ~ and I bought it, baked three, ate 2 1/2 and was like OMG that was the best cookies I have ever eaten! lol

Pregnant lady thoughts

Seriously, my boobs do not need to get any larger! I am so thankful that I have not experienced any severe nausea ~ only had a few instances where it felt like I just got off the faris wheel! I am not too moody, I am eating very well, and things are moving along nicely. oh well I did have an emotional melt down a couple days ago. I lost it when I was telling Pat, this is your glass of water, not that one, this one is mine I just poured it, that one is yours…. MELT DOWN! lol! I cried, Pat hugged me, then I had to go in the bedroom to shake it off… too funny. and weird… it’s true when people say, “It’s the hormones”

I am eight weeks 6 days pregnant and our blueberry berry is now a bit bigger ~ about the size of a grape, or .80 of an inch. The baby is in the upper left of the photo, you can see the markers from head to toe! In the mix of that the heart was flickering on the screen, it was so wonderful to see…. crazy to think that right now, right now at this very second while I type this… there is a wee little baby inside me… Pat and Angel’s little baby!

Yep, Pat is going to be a daddy… and well, I’ll be a mommy! We are beginning a big new chapter in our book, and this chapter will continue with us for the rest of our lives!

Today I am 7 weeks and 3 days pregnant, and our baby is about the size of a large blueberry. awww blueberry baby ~ a blueberry may sound small, but the baby is now 10,000 times bigger than at conception!

My plans to move to Texas were scraped. I’ll be bare foot and pregnant here in MerryLand with Pat. I can hardly believe there is a wee little baby in my tummy, I told Trinitie and she was like, “Nanny you swallowed it?” lol Trinitie also added to that story last night when she was hanging out chatting with her Grannie. lol!

I love you all and thanks for your support and happy good time vibes. The baby is due on December 7, 2009. What a wonderful gift, a little Christmas baby!
